Know the steps to locate the current IP address of your Netgear Home Router

If you are a Windows Vista user and unable to locate the current IP address of your Netgear home router, you have come to the right place. In this article our expert Netgear tech support professionals list down the steps to find out your current IP address.

Steps for Windows Vista user
If after typing http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com in your web browser you get error messages like Unable to display the page, it may be that your IP address may have been changed.

For a normal (non techie) user this may seem like a tough nut to crack. If you are in such situation, don’t worry! Follow the Netgear router support professional’s steps and locate your current IP address. It’s easy!

Windows Vista
1.  From the Start menu, right-click on Network, and then select Properties. This opens the Network and Sharing Center.
2.  If your computer is hardwired to the router, click View Status to the right of Local Area Connection. If your computer is connected wirelessly, click View Status to the right of Wireless Network Connection.
3. Click Details. Your router IP address will appear next to IPv4 Default Gateway.

If you are still having troubles accessing your router admin web interface page after typing the current IP address, please contact Netgear technical support professionals of Icognix. You can connect with them on their Netgear tech support number at 1877-777-8906 (Toll free).
